PRIVACY / UPDATED 1 OCTOBER 2026

Your details,
handled plainly.

What we collect when you use this site, why we need it, how long we keep it, and how you can see, change or delete it.

01

We ask for little.

Your enquiry details, so we can reply. Visit counts only if you say yes.

02

We sell nothing.

Your details aren't sold, rented or used for advertising, by us or anyone we work with.

03

You stay in charge.

Change your analytics choice any time, and ask us to show you or delete what we hold.

Who we are

GhostBookings is run by No Fear Tech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 16758357), at 6 Mallard Way, Dereham, Norfolk NR19 1FJ. For the details you share on this website, we're the data controller: we decide how they're used, and we answer to you for it.

Questions about your data, or a request to see or delete it, go to hello@nofeartech.com. Put "GhostBookings privacy" in the subject and it'll reach the right person.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry

What
Your name, work email, venue name, your role, how many venues you run, your booking system, and anything you write in the message.
Why
So we can reply, understand how your restaurant runs, and talk through whether GhostBookings fits.
Lawful basis
Taking steps you've asked for before any agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
How long
Up to 24 months after we were last in touch about it, then deleted automatically. If you become a customer, your agreement with us covers it from then on.

When you try the AI service studio

What
The venue details you type in: the venue's name, style, typical bookings and the tone you want.
Why
To write the sample plan you see on screen.
How long
We don't keep it. Your plan is made and sent straight back to your browser. Please don't type in any guest's details.

Visit counts, only if you choose "Allow analytics"

What
Which pages you open, how you arrived (the site you came from and any campaign tags in the link), your device type, how fast pages load for you, and a random ID your browser keeps so a return visit counts once. With your permission, Google Analytics also collects similar visit information using its own cookies.
Why
To see which pages are useful to restaurant teams, and to keep the site quick.
Lawful basis
Your consent. Say no and everything on the site still works; nothing is counted.
How long
Our own visit counts: 14 months, then deleted automatically. Google Analytics: 2 months for visit-level detail, after which Google keeps only totals.

Changed your mind? Choose (it's also at the bottom of every page) and pick again.

Keeping the site running and safe

What
Your IP address, which every website sees when you visit. To stop people flooding the enquiry form, the AI studio or the sign-in pages, we keep a scrambled form of it that can't be turned back into the address.
Why
To deliver pages to you and protect the site from misuse.
Lawful basis
Our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and available.
How long
The scrambled form: an hour at most, or 15 minutes for sign-in attempts. Our web server's logs are kept only as long as we need them to keep the site running.

Cookies and your browser

Some small things are kept in your browser. The first group is needed for the site to work, so we don't ask about it. The second only appears after you allow analytics.

Restaurants and their guests

If your restaurant uses GhostBookings, the details of your team's accounts are covered by your agreement with us, alongside this notice.

If you've booked a table at a restaurant that uses GhostBookings, that restaurant decides how your booking details are used: it's the controller, and we work on its behalf under a written agreement. Please ask the restaurant about your booking first. If you contact us, we'll pass your request to the restaurant and help it reply.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of suppliers. Each handles your details only to provide its service to us, under a contract that requires it to keep them safe.

  • netcup GmbH, Germany. Hosts this website and stores what we collect.
  • Google. Google Analytics, only if you allow it, and sign-in for our own team. Google may handle data outside the UK, under safeguards UK law recognises.

We don't sell your details, and nobody uses them for advertising. We'd share them with anyone else only if the law required us to.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your details
  • Stop or limit how we use them
  • Send them to you in a format you can reuse
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics, at any time

Email hello@nofeartech.com. It's free, and we'll reply within a month. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so we never hand your details to someone else.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects something you've agreed to, we'll ask you again.
